| Update on Sweet William Well, there has been no more blood in Willie's urine. The vet said everything looked fine and maybe it was a one time thing. I may have to try to get a urine specimen (how do you do that ???). But on another note, Willie jumped from my arms onto the floor and hurt his foot!! I was so scared. The vet however found no obvious breaks, and we are treating him for pain and inflammation. If it is not better by Thursday, he may go ahead and do his neuter and x-ray his foot at the same time. So many things to worry about!!! He is so tiny and fragile, I just want to hold him all the time so he won't ever get hurt. I was shocked to find out his weight he only weighed 3.1 pounds!!! All the stuff I had made him is too small, but dang, he is so tiny, I think they should fit him! But he is long and tall, and very fine boned. Oh well, I guess small is relative... He's my little angel!! ~Melody

| I'm happy to hear that Willie is better! Those little wiggle worms will jump when you least expect it!! I learned [the hard way] early on to always hold Toto with one finger wrapped firmly around her tiny little leg!! Thanks for the update on him ..... Merry Christmas!!

| I have some new pics of William I took on a friend's digital camera, but I cannot figure out how to get them into my computer! I am so upset...I want to show everyone what a little Gentleman he is now! He is a beautiful blue and gold little guy. Hopefully my friend can get the pics either on his computer or mine soon! Not sure he knows how to use the reader either. Oh well.... tomorrow I will go buy some film for my camera and then scan those in. He's just to cute for words! Can you tell I am excited about having my baby home??!! ~Melody

| X-ray and surgery tomorrow Well, Sweet Willie has had no more urine troubles, so it was a fluke. But the foot is still hurting him. So the vet is going to do the neuter tomorrow and x-ray the foot at the same time. I am so worried, he is such a lil guy! I was just reading about ligament tears on another thread. How do they tell if it is that or a break? I can't afford more than just an x-ray or two. I know he will be ok, but I am a born worrier...lol ~Melody

| Broken leg My baby Willie has a broken leg. They said he could have a plate put in but it would be that he had to go to some teaching hospital or something, for over $1000.00 or they could possibly pin it or put a cast on. I opted for the cast, I don't have a lot of monetary resources. The vet on the phone made me feel like such a horrible person because I had to go the least expensive way. Also I had already talked to one of the other vets about having limited income and that I could pay off his surgery (He is being neutered today) and x-rays etc over time. I think she got pissed at this too. I just don't think she should have treated me that way. I have told everyone there time and again that this was an issue for me and everyone else has been very sweet about it, except her. I love my boy very much. I feel like she is in it just for the money.
