Garments used during heat cycle? May I ask, what do you put on your females during their heat cycle so that they don't dirty your furniture, linens etc?

they sell little panties for females, you put a pad in them..I only know as I used them 17 years ago when I bred a shih tzu..now, I just have them spayed before they ever come in to heat

that was our plan.. my hubby's boston terrier came into heat before we were able to get her spayed.. our old vet wanted us to wait til after the first heat and our new vet is out of town on family emergency til after the 2nd of the year.. go figure...

I can't believe a good vet would tell you to wait until after their first heat cycle..I know some do... but, there chances of getting certain cancers are higher if they're not spayed before their first heat cycle....Lucky for me, the 2 vets I have used, both have told me the same thing, if you're not using them for breeding, spay them before they go in to heat..
