| Cotton Coat!! I'm pretty sure Riley has a cotton coat and its driving me crazy. It seems like its always freezy and dry. I thought it had something to do with Riley rolling around on the carpet also. At my old apartment, I had wood floors and Riley's coat wasn't this out of control. I brush him everyday so it doesn't tangle at all. Its just dry and freezy. I think he needs to get trimmed too, but I'm waiting till after Xmas. Does anyone know what I can do to control his hair more? |

| I am not real sure. How old is he? When Hannah was a little puppy her hair was dry and frizzy too and after I cut off the puppy coat it was silky. What shampoo are you using. Sometimes the type of shampoo can help a cotton coat. Like Pet Silk is good and Cowboy Magic detangle and shine before drying can help too. Good luck. Can you post pictures? |

| It really, to me anyway, doesn't sound like he has the cotton coat. My Azrael does and believe you me, if her coat was dry like that, she would be one big mat. Your baby needs some extra help with the conditoner and I have a solution if you are interested and can pm me. |

Donating YT 11K Club Member | I would put a little shine liquid on him, just a drop. Maybe leaving the conditioner in for 2 min. would also help.

| I agree, he doesnt look like a cotton coat, as Turbos is the same. Do you condition his hair after a bath? To me it looks like human hair that didnt get conditioned. Also, maybe a slight trim of his skirt and the ends of his hair would help out?

| I use Pet Silk conditioner and I let it set for a few minutes. I normally massage it through his hair. I'm going to get him trimmed after Christmas, but I wanna keep his top knot. I wonder if that would look funny since his body hair is going to be short? Lol. |

| Hmmm, maybe he is just having a bad hair day? hehe, but seriously, he is a doll! And I don't think he'll look funny with shorter hair and a longer face. Just show them pics of what you are wanting.

| Whew he doesn't look like a cotton coat to me either...my Brooklyn has a cotton coat and it's a PAIN...they can have a silky coat and easily matt and tangle...for some reason I've found that the best matches are ones that have somewhere in the middle...although that may be wrong in the show world... |

| I don't think he looks cotton either. He is only 7 months so maybe he has just been blowing the puppy coat. Sometimes that in itself is a nightmare. He looks like a sweetie. Deana Prestigeous Yorkies |
