| Maybe the lady had a problem with hoarding. Sounds like she loved them but at 70 years old, couldnt take care of them properly. |

| I feel so sorry for that poor lady. She must be so very lonely and just trying to fill a void and also thinking she's helping the dogs have a home. The dogs loved her I'm sure, but it's been long overdue that someone finally stepped in to see that the dogs are placed in proper homes. I hope they help her clean up her home and let her have only one dog for companionship. |

| My mom had 3 dogs, one just died a year ago this coming Feb. he was 15..She's 81 but, takes very good care of the 2 she has..she takes them in every 6-8 weeks for grooming and spoils them to death..she would never own that many, but Mom loves dogs..I couldn't imagine her only having 1.. |

| That lady actually lives within a few miles of me. There have been tons and tons of calls to Animal Control about the dogs, but no court date so far to determine the custody of the dogs. If there are any updates I'll be sure to post.

I have to agree with you....My mom is 73 and she has a neurotic MinPin and a ADHD Japanese Chin.....She would go nuts without her babies...She and my step dad take better care of the dogs than they took care of us...lol Joyce

| The lady decided yesterday to settle outside of court and the state let her keep 6 dogs and she was fined $8,500, an estimated total of the expenses accrued to house feed and care for the dogs. Breeders that had used her services will get to have 9 of the dogs and the rest will go to shelters in the area. There have been over 200 applications already for the rescues, so now hopefully they will go to a better place.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | How sad I heard that hoarding was a mental disorder, according to Animal Police on Animal Planet I think. I hope the lady gets the help she needs or she will simply start hoarding again. On the other hand, it's wonderful to see a community's outpouring of love to take in the poor little ones who were trapped in such a sad condition. Now maybe they will find happier homes.
