| Yes, I have a 9 year old yorkie and he is micro-chipped. Any good vet will scan a "found" dog brought to them. If your baby should ever get lost, it is a permanant way to ID him. Its not that expensive either. |

| Yes, my little girl is microchipped. Hopefully it never has to be used but just in case it does it gives me some peace of mind.

| My baby bobby is chipped. The breeder we bought him from is a vet so she did it the day we picked him up. I hope we never have to use it either. I think that all vets should scan everytime someone takes their pet to the vet. What happens if someone took a baby and they take it to the vet for some reason. Just good practice I think. |

| Both our girls are. We had them done 5 years ago, and have had no problems.

| Thank you Everybody. Thank you so much. Just wasn't sure if it was something anyone does. But if it will help get him back, if he gets loose, it's worth it. |

| Mine is microchipped. I think the more ID the better. Being chipped sure doesn't guarantee your dog will get returned to you but you have a much higher chance of getting them back than if they aren't chipped

| chipping My boy is chipped from the Yorkie Rescue group I work for.....he's never been lost (thank god) so we've never needed it....my girl wasn't chipped...I should have had it done when she was spayed, but didn't think of it all those years ago....Worked for a vet for many years...Just like getting your ears pierced...the chip is tiny and it's over in a second. If I had a new one...I'd do it in a second. roxanne

| I had Adie chipped when she was neutered. I won't own a dog without one. It is just too valuable IMOM. |
