| Getting the house puppy ready! Whelp, since my hubby and I are stuck in the house with a storm coming, I decided to get the house all puppy ready now. We have about 9 days till Jack comes home, but I want everything to be ready. Anyone have any comments or suggestions of areas I may have missed and not thought of? THANKS!

| The biggest thing is get everything that could be in the baby's reach UP HIGHER! just stand in the middle of a room and carfeully look around everywhere.... if its at your waist or lower or near something that can be climbed and reached....They EAT IT! I had no idea how bad it was going to be. You could also start practicing new habits such as ALWAYS keeping closets closed. My baby ate a countless number of shoes while she was teething...i could never get the hang of closing the door all the way and she would stick her nose in until it opened. Find a place for the puppy pad if you will be going that route....for the food and water dishes....bed, toys etc. The most fun of all is shopping online.... with a storm out there you could totally get started on that. Youre going to need plenty of toys and treats to keep a puppy entertained. Good luck |

| Seriously, lay down on the floor and look. Look where your cords are, where the ends of blankets hang down, what's under your bureaus and sofas. Look like YOU were a puppy who's now alone and searching for fun things! They are amazing at finding trouble..LOL!! Just ask Widdy! Joy

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Definately look under the bed for and loose objects and wires that may run behind beds and other areas they can get to but you can't. I know how excited you must be!

| Be sure that in the laundry room all soaps and detergents are up out of reach.... Move all household chemicals from under the sink in the kitchen and bathroom and put them up out of reach. It is amazing how fast these little ones can get into trouble in an open cabinet. |

| Laundry products scare me. When I was growing up we had a puppy (not a Yorkie) fall face first in the laundry soap. We almost lost him..... |

| Congrats on bringing Jack home next week!!! Very exciting!! If you have ever put down any roach baits, I would make sure they are all picked up. Yorkies are great at finding anything.

| Just remember to put your handbag, briefcase,Tote off the floor when you come in the front door. The rule is if its on the floor it belongs to the puppy.LOL

| If your baby is going to be around the christmas tree, you might want to move all the ornaments up about a foot. Lol. I wake up almost every morning and Riley has pulled off Xmas ornaments and threw them throughout my apartment. Lol. |

| the closet doors being closed is my number one! when Bella was a pup, i would always forget to close mine and i lost sooooo many pairs of flip flops to her....haha and also keep all your laundry in baskets....they will chew on socks, bras....anything you can think of! Also stuffed animals with plastic noses and eyes...Bella liked to gnaw at those until they came off....not good CONGRATS ON YOU LITTLE ONE! and good luck! they are so much fun!
