| A special Holiday Gift As we were on our way to take Gizmo to see Santa, we drove by our local emergency animal hospital. (For those of you who don't know or don't remember, we had to rush Gizmo there about 4 months ago because he ate some rat poison.) On a spur of the moment impulse, I stopped and took Gizmo inside. The lady at the desk looked very concerned and asked what was wrong. I quickly assurred her that Gizmo was fine and explained that we just wanted to thank them for saving Gizmo and to wish them a happy holiday. It was wonderful to see her smile and happiness. She called several other vet techs out and they all lavished him with attention. They even pulled up his record on the computer and several remembered treating him. I really wish I'd thought to bring a card or some cookies or something, but they seemed very happy just to see him healthy and well. I was amazed that such a simple thing could make such a difference to them. So, if you have a chance, thank your veterinary health care professionals this holiday season.

| We just gifted Ellie's vet as a thank-you. It wasn't for the holidays but just to let her know that we appreciate her so much. They work so hard and seem to be very happy when people think of them.

| Oh absolutely! Natalie's doc's up at OSU have called so many times since she was released, just to check on her! They had mentioned how much they loved her little sweater and said how all the little dogs needed them when they stayed over in the hospital - so we sent up a box of knit sweaters for their little future patients as well as a special card and pictures of Natalie feeling so much better thanks to the wonderful care she received there!! I don't think our girl would have made it through without them! Glad to know sweet Gizzy came through alright!!!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | That so nice. I bought Fannie May candy for my vets and ER vets since we are there so often and they have been so great with my girls. I just have to get over there soon. I know they appreciate being thought of.

Lovin' 2 Girls Donating Member | Great reminder. My vets encourage clients to bring pets in for a "just because" visit, occasionally. The vets want to see/pet them when they're not doing something to the pet.

| That's awesome! Having been an ICU nurse for so long, and seeing so many patients who didn't make it, it was always the BEST treat to have one of our former patients come back to visit us all healthy and well.....it's really the best part of being a caretaker; to know that you actually DO make a difference! And it's nice to feel like those people notice, so I'm sure it was a wonderful gift for your vet and their staff!

| So true. And although you wished you'd taken cookies, I think it makes it EXTRA special that it was spur of the moment!!
