| Hi, new to Yorkie Talk Hi, I just signed up as a member of Yorkie Talk. I found the site because a breeder I've been talking to about getting a mate for my female suggested she might be a red leg, so I did a google search to find out what that is and this site came up. The breeder has never seen my dog, just a couple photos I sent her. She said she's trying to breed for the baby doll face, which I don't like (when it's extreme anyway.) My dog does not have the narrow fox snout I saw in one of the pictures but she's certainly not a baby doll. Her coat is definitely dry and seems to be growing a little slowly. She has a long back. I want to breed her. She has a cute face and good personality and could have a good coat. It was dark when I got her but has been turning silver. The breeders all said her coat was very dry, and gave me tips on what to do about that. It is VERY dry where I live. One breeder said that the longer back would actually make having puppies easier. Maybe red leg is not an all or nothing thing? I'm looking for a book to read about breeding. There's nothing in our local library. Greetings! |

| Glad to have you here on YT - this is a great site full of knowledgeable people and we have a lot of fun too You might want to post a thread with some of you questions about breeding in the breeder forum here on YT. Some of those gals are so busy with their mommas and pups, I think they must read there first and may miss this thread.
