| My Yorkie Is Pregnant! I took my little Lily to the vet on day 45 and he confirmed that she is pregnant. He took an X-ray and because there was so much poop in her intestines he was only able to see one pup. Has anyone else ever heard of this happening? I think I want to take her in at day 55 or so (after she poops during that day!)and get another x-ray. I also want to make sure that the pups heads are not too big to pass through her. The proud Mama and Papa can be seen in the attatchment! (Buddy-Left & Lily-Right) Lily is 45 days pregnant in that photo and you can't tell! |

| Congratulations. At 45 days it is hard to see them with xrays. Their bones have not calcified yet. I'm surprised that the vet even did it that soon. most say 58 to 60 days. |

| F O S If a human goes into the ER with tummy pain, the first thing we do (at least in my neck of the woods) is take a couple x-rays of the abdomen area. Constipation can easily be (and usually is) the cause of stomach pain. On our board in the ER where I worked, we're write F O S (full of s*it) as an entrance diagnosis. Was quite funny, til you got to the part where it was so bad they'd need to be depacted......
