| Why NOT to sleep with a yorkie in Bed. I usually let Rocky sleep in bed with me and it goes well 99% of the time. He even wakes me up when he wants to go to pee, which is once a night if that. Sometimes I leave him on the floor and he sleeps in his bed as well. So its not a constant thing where he has to be in bed with me. Today something funny happened. I woke up at 4am, 1 hour prior to my regular wake up time. I looked at the clock, realized that I have one full hour of sleep left, full of joy I stretched in every directions, you how dogs do with their legs. Well apparently Rocky was somewhere near my leg and when I stretched out my leg I hit him full force and off he went flying off the bed. I immediately panicked and jumped off the bed to inspect him, but he was fine as always and was just happy as hell that I finally woke up. 5 minutes later we went back to sleep, i covered him with a blanket and he was happy. A close call, but I am glad everything turned out ok. Last edited by remus; 12-06-2007 at 05:05 AM. |

| Scary. Glad he is okay. I think I'd have been still too shaky to get back to sleep. You hear about so many yorkies falling off people's laps, ect., and landing the wrong way and dying.

| Just for that very reason, I went out and bought those large pillows that are made to sit on, they're about 2.5 x 2.5 feet. I have several, and they go alllll around the bed so that not one inch of hardwood floor is exposed for a two and half foot perimeter around my bed..LOL. Widdy does the same thing, sometimes he wants to sleep with us, sometimes he wants his own puff ball bed on the floor.

| I know how it is. I sleep with all 4 of my babies. 2 like to go under the covers, and 2 lay on top. They know when it's bedtime. The computer gets shut off, lights, and then all 4 follow me to the bedroom. They are such company. Glad your baby is alright. Dar. |

| Thanks. It was so funny at first, but then I felt so guilty. But Rocky is such a trooper, I grabbed him and sat him on a pillow, rubbed his belly, and we both went back to sleep. 6 HOURS left till work is over and I see my pup. I wish I could bring him to work. But Prozac-Zombieland Manhattan companies would never allow that to happen. |

| The first night I let the kids sleep with me I did the exact same thing - flipped poor Kalani right over the side of the bed I felt soooo bad but he was fine - laying on the floor looking up at me like "Hey, whatcha do that for?"

| Gina, the little one, sleeps with us, she has her bed touching the headboard. I make sure, there is a good foundation, so her bed doesnt do a flip flop during the night!
