| hair sticking up on neck Hey guys. I have noticed on both of my females a little strip of hair that looks to be about an inch long almost between their shoulder blades- like where you apply flea treatment. It is a very small strip that usually lays down unless they are wet, it sticks up. Have any of you noticed this on your dogs? I will attach a picture so that you can see what the heck I mean.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | hmmm....kind of like a Dennis the Menace cowlick ? I don't recall ever seeing that on my girls but does it lay down when the hair is longer ? I would think dogs like humans have places the hair just has a mind of it's own - but have not seen that before - It could be their satellite antenna for Mind Invasion ...I konw my girls read my mind ....and yes...it's a short story !! |

| hair Now that you mention it I have noticed Whiz's neck hair breaking off where I apply his heartworm meds..the girls take a pill. Sometimes a harness will break the hair. Last edited by YorkieRose; 07-03-2005 at 05:14 PM. |

| OMG!! Villette ... you are absolutely certifiable!! Can your girls come live with Toto & me when you are committed?!? Beth ... I have never seen a clump of hair like that on Toto. I did have a problem with a groomer who evidently was using long scissors when she clipped around the edge of the upper 1/3 of her ear! The little "plume" hairs on either side that I had so carefully avoided cutting when I trim the ears got whacked off on one side!! She looked ridiculous and she had little clumps similar to that until it grew back!
