Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | I understand that they can be standing by 8 weeks of age, but also may flop back down off and on through the age of 6 months while puppies are teething. I have one yorkie with floppy ears (because back then I didn't know any better about their ears) and my second yorkie's ears were floppy when I got her, but knowing better this time and wanting them to stand erect, I didn't want to take any chances. So I used the taping trick. It worked like a charm. For more info on taping ears, either do a "search" here on it, or google "taping yorkies ears". You should get tons of info.

| Ear's I had a little Yorkie, one ear up, and the other floppy. She was about a year old. I had a portrait painted of her, the artist asked if I'd like both ear's standing in the portrait, I said NO, that's not how she is. Well, after it was done, the pup started putting up both ears on her own, so,, sometimes it's just a matter of time and letting nature take it's course |

| I don't know when they SHOULD be standing, but Pippas are standing and she is 14 weeks, they have been up consistently for about two weeks now....

| It depends on the dog, and can be affected by teething.
