| Shampooer & product? I'm looking to buy a shampooer for our carpets so that I can clean them on a fairly regular basis. We are in an apartment, and the stains are ridiculous! There isn't overhead lighting in the living areas so it's hard to see stuff sometimes. I recently used the Resolve High Traffic granules over the entire living room to get rid of stains from the previous tenants. That took four hours!!! I'd like to find something that is easy to use so that I can keep up with everything and discourage the girls from making messes. What shampooer do you have? What cleaning product is best for furkid messes? Thanks for any and all advice!!! |

| For me it's only the Rug Doctor steam cleaner. You can rent the machine from Stop N Shop or the A&P. I keep the liquid steam cleaner in the cupboard and put it in hot water and it will remove any stain you have. I swear by it. Resolve just doesn't do it and also leaves the foam in your carpet. I have done a whole room on my hands and knees with a pail of hot water and Rug Doctor. You just won't believe the water when your done. Your carpet will be spotless. |

Yes it's Rug Doctor. It's by the shampooer's. Make sure it's the Steam Cleaner. When Buddy was sick several years ago he threw up repeatedly and had the diahrea at the same time. My WHITE carpet looked like someone threw chocolate milkshakes all over it. I was frantic. I just happened to have 1/2 bottle from shampooing the carpet's sometime before. After soaking up the yuk I began cleaning on my hands and knees. HOT water is a must. I have to say with tears and swearing the rug was spotless when I finished. I am never without it. | |

| Hoover The hoover V5 is the best one on the market for cleanliness and ease of use.... rug doc is great... but a pain in the a&% to lug into and out of the house when you rent it. I have four kids and each have a dog and I would not be w/o my hoover steam cleaner!!!!!!! I add a little oxyclean to the fresh water part. For in between cleanings I swear... swear by Spot shot. I keep at least 4 cans on hand. Get really good absorbant white towels too! I am an expert at carpet cleaning... red stains are my specialty...lol... through trial and error! |

| I have hardwood floors, so I can't help you out very much, but I hope someone comes up with an idea for you.
