| Do Dogs go to Heaven???? I've noticed many of you are Christians and I just have to ask you...do you know if dogs go to heaven? I've searched through the bible on many occasions and just can't find any evidence that our pets go to heaven. My Chewy just turned 14 yesterday - so he's getting up in age and on Thanksgiving we had to take him to the hospital and found out he has kidney disease (in addition to periodontal disease). He's doing well now and you'd never know he had these diseases, but I feel like this is God's way of preparing me for the inevitable....afterall, he's been my baby and buddy for his whole life! I just don't know if I'll be able to handle it when it does happen. I just need to know that he'll go to heaven and I'll be able to see him again. I appreciate your insights... |

Donating YT Addict | Hi Salshine. I absolutely believe all animals go to heaven. Dogs have such beautiful spirits. They live their lives with no malice. They don't kill to kill like us humans. I think they march right on ahead of us into heaven. God worried so much about the animals he asked Noah to build an ark to save them and let the humans drown. Not sure if I'll get in but I believe my 4-legged babies sure will!! |

| I do know the Biblical answer to this but I can't go into now since this is general discussion and religious topics can only be talked about in off topic. I don't want to get in trouble with admin, so if this gets moved to off topic, I will answer then.

| There is a medal/charm that is of St. Francis. St. Francis is the Saint who protects all pets. I have one on ZheZhe's collar that she wears all the time. So apparently they do go to Heaven. p. wolfkill |

| Absolutely!! Although most main stream religions, of which I am a member, will tell you no, I say, "they are absolutly, positively wrong"!! Of course our animals go to heaven. I have no doubt whatsoever that if I'm lucky enough to get to heaven that my wonderful dogs that have passed will be waiting for me. There is a quote I hear used quite often by Will Rogers, "If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went." That says it all! Faith is everything. |

| Aw, this thread sorta choked me up...I like how one person said that they hoped your dog will be waiting for you when they go up to heaven. It's kinda like they day we picked our puppy from a breeder/shelter and waited for that day we would have them in our forever homes...! I hope dogs go to heaven! |

| On another note: If I have a second life, I hope that I enjoy it as a Yorkshire Terrier - one that will have a great, loving home, just like I was to my yorkie...! |

| How could something that gives such complete, unconditional love NOT go to heaven? I was raised Catholic and we were taught that they don't, but I believe otherwise... |
