| Giving Gerber To Puppy I TOOK GINGER TO THE HOSPITAL TODAY AND SHE IS STILL THERE FOR OBSERVATION. SHE DID NOT EAT FOR 3 DAYS, BUT I HVAE BEEN GIVING HER WATER AND NUTRICAL. Yesterday, I fed her 2x using a syringe with Wellness Puppy Food. When he woke up this morning her tummy is so bloated and vomitted once. The vet said not to give him puppy food yet but instead given GERBER (except beef flavor) . Is Gerber ok for small puppies? (Ginger is 3 months and weighs 1.2 lbs only) I would appreciate any advice. |

| pup Do what the vet says, your puppy is sick and needs to get well. Gerber is just meat and I give it to my weaning babies. |

| Sorry your baby is sick! Like Pat said, do what your vet says. When Toto first came home at 16 weeks, she wouldn't eat and our vet said to try the Gerber. She ate it and for awhile, that's all she would eat! We fed it until we finally found a dog food she would eat. She still loves the Gerber green beans and carrots [Gerber Graduates] and she is almost 2 years old! Hope your little one is better soon!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I hope she's OK !! Three days is a long time to not eat...poor baby - What does the vet think this is ? Do they know ? I gave Gerber to Chanel when she was a baby - mixed it in her dry and she loved it - but if the vet said stay away from her food - that's what I'd do - GOOD LUCK ! |

| Sorry to hear about your baby. I had a 4 lbs Pom who had a litter of 4. She was a very good mommy at first but after the 3erd week she just stopped nursing and would nip at them when they tried to eat. She stoped eatting too. I finguard that the 4 puppies where just to much for her and she was very tired. The vet also told him to give her and the puppies powered milk mix and fed them with a syringe. The puppies took it better from a tiny bottle but momma,,, we had to force her with the syringe. The vet also told me to try and feed the mama baby food (lamb or chicken) She had no problems with eatting it. After a few days of rest from her pups she was feeling much better. She loved playing with her pups but as far as nursing them,,, well she was not having it. When the pups were 5 weeks old I gave them baby food till they got a little bigger. I was worried that they wouldn't want to eat puppy food but they and no problems. All 4 were eatting machines. Good luck and I hope your baby gets well quickly!

| OMG, I cannot imagine having a puppy not eat for so long. I hope Ginger gets well and out of the hospital soon. You are wise to follow every instruction from your vet. These babies are so fragile and they can go out in no time..Baby food meat is so healthy and will be fine for your puppy... |

| I would follow the vets instruction. I sure hope she's better soon. Gwen will only eat IAMS canned food so that is what I feed her. She's gained a pound since she's been on it. |
