| grooming curiosities For those of you who take your pups to grooming salons: Do you take them to the petstore ones or the "higher end" doggie salons? what's the most you've paid to get your furbaby groomed? [i'm hoping i'm not the only insane one... lol] also what's your Yorkie's grooming pet peeve? I take Belle to a doggie salon called the Groom Room and i pay about$60 to get her groomed (once a month-month and a half) she used to go to petsmart when we lived in Orlando... but petsmart is about 15 minutes from my house... and i like the way the salon people do it better... she comes home all nice and silky and smelling very nicely! and they always do exactly what i ask them to do... Belle's pet peeve is getting her paws touched, she hates it...

| I take mine to a groomer and she charges 24.00. I've heard such bad reviews on Petco and Petsmart that I wouldn't take them there.

| My groomer charges $35 a dog. My Jewels pet peeve is she doesnt like to be separated from Chachi. Her Husband holds Chachi by the table so Jewels doesnt bark. I would never take them to Petco or Petsmart to be groomed. I love My groomer she is great and even boards our yorkies for us when we go out of town

| Mine charges $20 but Lilly is still a baby. I really like the job they do on her but I don't really like the personalities the owner or another girl has. There really is nowhere else to take Lilly to be groomed though, there's one other place besides the one I take her to and I'm afraid to switch. I hate living in a small town.

| I paid $38.00 for Bella at a doggy Salon. I've only taken her once so far and to a groomer that was highly recommended and requested the owner and she did a wonderful job, exactly as I requested to her. I don't know anything about Petco or Petsmart salons. $60.00 seems pretty high but maybe that's what the going rate is in your area.

| I groom mine myself. I use to take mine to grooming salons and here they go from cheapest $45 to $60 and $80 for mobile dog grooming . Well if I only had one, maybe but wih five, I had to learn myself and I enjoy it. My Pixies peeve is nails cut, she screams as soon as I get close and I have never nicked her . Coco does not like his pipi washed, he whimpers when the water touches it. Trini does not like water on her face. Shayley and Gracie don't really have any peeves...

| I take Addy to a salon and I absolutley adore her groomer! I pay around 50 after a tip and sometimes less depending on what we are there for. We have used petsmart before because of a recomendation by a friend, we will never do it again! And they charged more than the salon we use now! Ugh! As far as I know her only peeve is when she has mud butt and I have to wash her. She hates having under her tail cleaned! |

| I take Riley to a grooming salon and pay about $45 for his grooming. He comes back so cute and soft! They put a bandana on him when I pick him up. One of the girls there has a Yorkie at home so she knows how to cut his hair to keep him looking like a Yorkie Riley's pet peeve is cutting his toenails! He doesn't like his paws played with...

| Luckily the breeder I got both Xena and Izzy from grooms as well. She only charges $15 for the first year and then $20 after that. She'll also board them when we go on vacation. She show's yorkies so she know exactly what she's doing. Xena hates having her nails trimmed, she yelps at every nail clipper sound and she's only been nicked once. She also hates the blow dryer near her face. Izzy is good when she's groomed, I can tell she hates it but she just stands there and deals with it.

| I take mine to a groomer and the most she has ever charged was $27.00 per baby. She also boards them for $12.00/day each.

| My groomer charges $40. Madeleine has only been groomed twice so far so I am not sure what her specific pet peeves are. I don't think she likes any of it really When I give her weekly baths she hates it when I blow dry her
