| Kennel Guilt I've got to put my babies in a kennel over Thanksgiving, which I hate. Five yorkie-less days because they won't let me pick them up until Monday. Apparently, the holiday lasts Wednesday through Sunday for most of the kennels in Georgia. What is everyone else, who has to travel, doing with their puppies over the holiday? <div style="margin:2px;text-align:center;width:140px;" id="DogsterBadge"><script src="http://badge.dogster.com/2/?pet_ids=658174&color=b&uid=526111" language="javascript"></script><a href="http://www.dogster.com" class="st" style="font:normal 9px/145% Arial,sans-serif;text-decoration:none;color:#999;" title="Dogster.com">Join the Dogster community</a></div> <div style="margin:2px;text-align:center;width:140px;" id="DogsterBadge"><script src="http://badge.dogster.com/2/?pet_ids=658709&color=b&uid=526111" language="javascript"></script><a href="http://www.dogster.com" class="st" style="font:normal 9px/145% Arial,sans-serif;text-decoration:none;color:#999;" title="Dogster.com">Join the Dogster community</a></div> Last edited by terissa; 11-21-2007 at 05:40 AM. |

| When we travel our babies go with us. How far will you be travelling and are your babies not welcome where you're going? |

| I don't like that kennel. I couldn't stand five days without Miss K. I'd go nuts. Isn't there someone you can leave them with?

| I'm sure you miss your babies! Luckily, Bella is with us for the holiday! We were without her for a week earlier in November and we missed her so much! She stayed with my brother, but he took her to doggie day care a few days to get some exercise and she loved it!!! They have a little group of Yorkies, chihuahua, and maltese, etc that play together during the day. I noticed you were from Georgia. Where abouts? Close to Atlanta? Welcome to YT!!!

| Sorry to hear you're not going to be with family this year. I just moved to Georgia with my hubby cause of his new job, too. We're having an Anti-Turkey Day with some new friends that moved to the same state. I hope your turkey turns out golden and delish! Good luck roasting! |

| We're going four hours away, and we weren't sure how to ask if they'd be welcome and didn't want to impose. |

| Sevengirl, We live right around Lawrenceville and I'm taking the puppies to a vet's kennel in Buford. I don't love them, but they were the cleanest place I could find in the area. I saw you were around the Duluth area. From what I've seen of the area, it is a lovely city. Hope we get rain tonight! Nice to meet you! |

| Four hours isn't that much of a trip and you wouldn't be imposing as long as you ask first. My family knows that my babies are like my children and they are always welcome at family gatherings. I take anything they would need for the day and I keep a close eye on things... |
