| How do you keep your house fresh? Since I am sure we all have different ways , I thought with the holidays coming and family members visiting , I personally always find myself spraying and mopping , keeping the a/c higher to maintain a fresh non pet smelling home.. do you have any secrets or well proven ways that you do? Im sure there are several of us on here that would benefit from this... P.S I found out Gizmo loves to mark my window curtains.. |

| I like to do a thorough cleaning of the whole place once a week (ideally on Jesse's bath day). Throughout the week I will open all of the windows periodically to allow fresh air to circulate through the house. I live in LA where it doesn't get too cold, so I can have open windows for short amounts of time all winter. Also, I like to Febreeze throughout the house when I feel like I need it. Scented candles in the evenings also leave a beautiful fragrance throughout the whole place. |

| I vacuum regulary, have lots of air fresheners located around the house....open windows even if it chilly just to air it out for a few minutes, sometimes it can get stuffy if the windows are closed for so long. I usually always have soy candles burning. Always spray my garbage can with lysol at least once a day to keep down odors brewing in the trash bag. When I take out garbage I spray lsyol in can before I put new bag in too. I make sure dishes are always cleaned off if they are sitting in sink to go in dishwasher, so they do not start to smell. I clean all of Bella toys and blankets regulary too so they do not smell to much like doggie and give Bella baths weekly. I clean like crazy all of the time!!

| I keep the Glade plug-ins throughout my house and change them out every time I go grocery shopping--usually every 2 weeks. I also stick Bounce dryer sheets behind the cushions of my sofa and love seat (one on each end)--it does wonders for the smells, which reminds me that it's time to replace with fresh dryer sheets before family comes over on Thursday. |

| I've never used air fresheners in my house before. Is my (first) dog gonna really stink up then house when I get him? Is it still a doable lifestyle to go without air fresheners? Last edited by dani23d; 11-20-2007 at 02:15 PM. |

| I give the floors a good cleaning once a week and also run the Swiffer wet jet over it throughout the week. I open windows for a little bit each day just to get some fresh air in. I have one of those air fresheners that sprays every 30 min....can't remember what it's called now, sorry. You can set it to spray at different intervals. I also love scented candles. I vacuum daily and just keep everything clean. I'm kind of a clean freak.
