| 16 days till our puppy comes home! It's been such a long time since I first decided I wanted a yorkie furball but it's finally coming true. It took me forever to make the decision to make a lifetime commitment, took much longer to do the research and even longer to find the right breeder. A happy fact is that I found my breeder here on YorkieTalk through someone who recommended her to me. It's all coming together, I found her a few weeks ago and she's not only a fabulous breeder but a superb woman. I've visited a couple of times, I've put a deposit on my furball, I've given him a name (Benito), I've bought him supplies, and now comes the hardest part ... waiting another three weeks until he comes home. Another three weeks, doesn't sound too bad but it seems like time is standing still just to torture me. I, me, me I ... but the truth is that my husband and I went through and are still going through all this together. He's as Benito crazy as I am. He's such a sweetie pie (talking about my husband). So meet Benito! Which one is he? I don't know. The breeder has first pick, this is the last litter of one of her most beloved champions. Doesn't matter which one it is though, I love them both, I've spent time with both and although they are very very different in personality they are both awesome and handsome. Go to my Flickr page for more Benito love! http://flickr.com/photos/48889038141@N01/ I don't know how I will ever get through until December 5th. Will I go nuts? Probably. Anyone else waiting for their furball to come home?

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Yep, I'm waiting too..... Hi - First let me congratulate you on your upcoming bundle of fur-fun! I can almost guarantee that once you've got one yorkie, you're going to want another, and maybe another That's the way it was for me. I got my first "dream dog" (that's what yorkies were to me for a long time), Lucky, about 3 years ago; absolutely fell in love with the breed even more than in my dreams. So, soon #2 yorkie came along, Lexie, then breeding came next as we currently have Lexie's first litter of 4 fabulous puppies! And now, just last weekend, we put a deposit on our next bundle of joy, a little guy we named Toby. He is 7 weeks old. He too is from a YT breeder (Sugars Mom). She also has rave reviews from other satisfied YTr's and in speaking with her about Toby, I can see why. Though we have not met personally, I can tell she is a very nice lady who loves her Yorkies. Consider yourself lucky with your 16 days to wait.....I am counting down the days until January 3rd....that's 47 more days.

| Thank you guys. I think I'm going to take a stab at therapeutic shopping like erino77 says. Works out for everyone I think. I'm so happy, my brothers were really against me getting a Yorkie (or any other dog ... they think having a pet ties you down) but they seem to be doing better. Perhaps more resigned? Anyway. Nothing can dimm my happiness. Thank you for the kind words.

| Get a lot of sleep now If your first nights are anything like mine were with howling Lucy, you're going to need a heck of a lot of cover up cream for those dark circles. But it stopped after the 4th night. Ended up putting her in a small carrier/crate at the side of my bed and she was fine. T |
