| For those that believe they don't have a pure Yorkie, testing is now available I was just talking to Ellie's vet and asking her what kind of dog she has. She doesn't know but is doing the Wisdom Panel. I had never heard of this. It is pretty awesome and I might do it with Ellie. Here is a link: http://www.discountpetmedicines.com/dog-dna-test.htm Now you can find out if your breeder was truthful with you.

| That would be cool to find out, since my Fabio is adopted and no one can tell us for sure if he is yorkie or not, we just know he looks like one. Too bad I dont have the money for it!

| That is good info especially for anyone that is really not sure. The price is not expensive. |

| You know, I'm wondering, if you have a "supposed purebred" that you paid good money for, and you were ripped off, if you can go to the person you got it from with the test results and tell them you want some of your money back...The only one I have that I question are the shih tzu(which, I did go back and get some of my money back on her), but my biewer..I paid good money for him, and I would swear he has maltese in him! |

| I would think there would be something you could do, but would it be worth the hassle and expense? There's always small claims court. You could also turn it into AKC that these dogs are not purebred. I just got my first AKC and to be honest I think my CKC is a much better representation of the breed. |

| Well, I paid $2800 for a biewer, so, if it's not a biewer, I would think I should be able to go to small claims court and get something back on him..that's a lot of $ for a dog, if it's not what it's supposed to be..and I do have my doubts .. |

| I was looking at the Wisdom Panel site. It said that testing isn't yet available for purebreds but is for mixed breeds, so I guess you could do the test if you thought you had a mix. I want to talk to the company. All the breeders who aren't quite truthful are going to be in a lot of trouble.

| I don't blame you one bit. I don't know a lot about biewers, I know they are absolutely gorgeous though. If it's not pure than you could probably get the cost of the test back too. Don't know about law but I do watch a lot of court tv |

| I'm in SC, the lady I got her from is out of PA, but, if I found she had decieved me, I would go after her in a heartbeat for what I spent on him |

| If I paid a lot for my pup and wasn't sure I'd take the test to recoup some of my money.

| worth the money I say it is worth the money if you paid a fortune for a pup and you had question. My first dog when I was five was a 5lb chi wa wa (know not spelled right...lol) and min. schnauzer mix... and the vet's son worked for my parents...so they knew the parents... his dad delivered them... BUT that dog looked just like all these yorkies that have the all tan or gold color heads on here. So much so I would swear that is what he was. ALL his pups... and back in those days... spaying and neutering in the south not really done.... looked like yorkies. We would drive through town and know if Rusty had been there... he roamed hi and low...lol. Anyway so any breed kind throw one that looks like a yorkie if those two can...lol. I could def. see how a Morkie and a Biwewer could look alot alike w/ certain litters. |

| Okay, when the tests come out, and I have him tested, if it shows he's not purebred, do I e-mail the breeder and tell her the test results and ask her for some of my money back, or threaten her with court?? I'm just wondering how the ones of us that have been scammed would go about that? |

| http://www.marsveterinary.com/ Here is the link. You can go to FAQ. It is available already but I don't think most vets know about it yet...

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Hha--maybe the breeder would also have her dogs tested as well--who knows where the mix occurred. |
