LOL Rachel..I bought her a coat for when we sat outside to watch the other dogs run, well, now she runs with them and the coat is too small(xxs), so here it sits..then when we went to the vets the other day, it was in the 40's out, so she shook all the way there, so broke down and got her 2 little tshirts..she wears them for pictures..and if it's cold in the house(I keep it at 64)I notice as soon as I take it off her, her hair is all matted, and she even has the siky coat..so, here sits 2 shirts, one coat 3 sweaters..but, they will be good to have if power goes out this winter again..oh, and one harness vest... The breeder sent a couple of the things..I really should sell this little coat or send it to someone on here for just shipping and handling cost, as Ginger will never wear it again..it's that pink, and has the white fur on it(xxs)..??

He's cute as he can be but I do see why you think he has maltese in him. This test would be excellent for you because I would think you are entitled to some of your money back. He's absolutely precious but you paid big bucks for a Beiwer.

He is really cute. I have a friend with two biewers from the same litter. One looks a lot like your little guy, except his ears are up. Very similar face, coloring. If I picture yours with ears up, I see biewer. Her other biewer has ears that never went up. He's a beauty too, but does have a different look. Could it just be the ears that are throwing you?

I can understand why you'd want to have him tested, but he sure is cute.

I know, and the sad thing is, I wanted one of those dogs(well, started out wanting a parti yorkie years ago, and at the time, the one I found was $5000), although I had the money, I couldn't justify spending that on one..then I found the biewer, $2500 sounded good, then I called her and the day I sent out the certified check, I heard back from a reputable biewer breeder, and I could have had my little girl biewer, but, I was too impatient..Now, Fritz is a sweetehart, and he's not going anywhere, but, if I do this testing and it shows him to be a morkie, I would think I should be able to at least get back $2000 of my money..

I have a few pics of him with one ear up and one down, and he does look totally different with them up, I don't know, hard to tell these days..I mean I've seen yorkies with their ears down, and although they look different with them down than up, I can still tell their yorkies..

Ginger definitely is a cutie! I have to say I was shocked to see her in clothing though since you think dressing dogs is rediculous

ginger is a cutie, she's naked again..she has a really cute harness vest,(the pink one in the picture), but, she doesn't get walked(she gets to run in the back yard), so I put it on her to send a picture to the breeder(she's the one that sent it for her), she had a xxs pink coat from walmart for her when she would sit outside and it's cold, but, now that she's running she doesn't need it..so, should give it to someone on here with a little yorkie, and then she got 2 little walmart shirts for her pictures and if it's cold in the house...me+hotflashes=cold house....LOL so, if anyone needs a little xxs pink coat from walmart, and you want to just pay s&h, let me know, otherwise, the little coat sits up here on the computer desk..

On dressing, I don't think you quite understand what I mean..A lot of money is going out on the clothes, my hubby told me years ago(we've been married almost 31 years), you have wants and needs..if its something you need, buy it, if it's something you want, you best save up for it, because you don't need it...Ginger is tiny still, I keep it cool in the house, right now, she's naked, I did buy 2 little shirts for her, read above... when I take her to town or to the vet, she's naked...

You've said in previous threads that your dogs have always been fine going out in the snow and don't need coats. So why would the temperature you keep your house at be a concern for your dogs? I doubt your house is colder than it would be out in the snow.

LOL we don't get snow, if we happen too, we may get a few flurries(we're in SC)..my house is kept very cool, and, when they're outside running and it's 50 out, she is naked, when she's in the house, and it's cool, she's usually sleeping, she doesn't keep the blanket on, so, this is why the shirt..she has a new coat, that I will give to anyone on here that wants it, for the cost of shipping..when they're running, I feel they stay warm enough, aren't you warmer when you're moving around??

I cant wait for these tests to become required by AKC!! I think its going to be many years before these tests are perfected and 100% accurate. If I read it correctly, it can only accurately test the first generations. If mixes were used past that, its not 100%. Also, its only good for mixed breeds, not purebreds. Thats how I understood it anyway.

I just think you've contradicted yourself:

can my new puppy play in the snow?

Okay, I apologize, if it's cold out, put your little coat on, BUT promise me you're not going to spend your whole paycheck on those clothes...!
Everyone I need your opinions

Heck, it about killed me having to go to the pet store 2 years ago and buying 3 dog sweateres when it was cold and our power went out..but, we had no heat, and I had to put these on my dogs, I think they hated having them on as much as I hated putting them on..So, as far as the clothes, like I've said before to each his own, but, I also think it's pretty ridiculous..I had my kids, I clothed them...
