| well, tomorrow is the day......... Uno gets neutering, microchipping, teeth pulled, and blood work done tomorrow......That sounds like a lot doesn't it.....I feel so bad that he's going to be in pain...I'm really worried about the not-jumping and trying to keep him calm so he doesn't hurt his stitches...... Any advice from those who have been through this before? How do they typically act after being neutered? Sleepy? lazy? or are do they still want to act like tazmanian devils?? |

Good luck and let us know how it goes. And no, it doesn't sound like too much. It's better to get it all done, so he doesn't have to go under anesthesia again anytime soon. Hugs to both of you.

| He'll do fine. I think it's much easier on the boys then the girls and my girl was fine in a day. As if she never had it done. I had all I could do to keep her down. LOL. One piece of advice would be to go to Walmart or one of those other stores and buy a couple of cheap onsies. It works much better then the cones. Just cut a little spot out for his tail. Best of luck to both of you. Elaine |

| I really don't have any more advice to add,but want to say Uno will be in my prayer and thoughts. Lots of hugs. Oh, and no, it doesn't sound like too much at once. Like Judy said, It's better to get it all done, so he doesn't have to go under anesthesia again anytime soon. Please keep us posted Good luck!

| Im wishing Uno luck - but I am sure that he is going to do wonderful. When Autumn was spayed, chipped and 10 teeth pulled I was really concerned but she came home ate hard food right away and ran around the house like a crazy woman. It was VERY hard to keep her from running. I tried to carry her as much as possible and I kept a baby gate at the bottom of the stairs so she could not run and accidently fall down them. Good luck to Uno and you and let us know how he does!

| I will say a prayer all goes well. I am sure it will. My baby Boy goes tomorrow also. However, his teeth are fine and I do not think I am doing the micro chip. I will be thinking of you both. It will be a long day here to.

| Thank you for all the kind words. He is a maniac right now, so i'm hoping that the piss and vinegar that runs through his veins are stored in his testicles He saved me 12 bucks tonight! He lost one of his molars, so I finally have TWO of his teeth to keep... well, off to bed now. Thank you again everyone |

| I think it was more rough on me than it was on my baby boy...I had his carrier in the car along with his baby blanket, and normally he wants to sit by me in the car or in my lap, or look out the window. Not today! He went straight into his carrier and laid down. Poor thing. He was in la-la land for about 3 hours afterwards, very sleepy. We took a nap and he refused to be anywhere else but laying across my chest up by my neck. I hope he isn't in pain for too long. He has one pain pill (he gets 1/4th of a pill once a day). He finally drank a little bit of water at 8:30. He's so sweet and cuddly and is just content to sit on my lap. He definitely moves at a much slower pace! Which is so odd to see him moving slow...lol The lady said, "Try to keep him calm for the next 10-14 days" and I just said "this dog?? I'll do my best...." It will be interesting. How did your day go? |

| OK, this may be silly....but....When boys are neutered don't they take out the testicles? Or what exactly do they do? I always thought that's what they did...but then Uno was laying on his back lastnight, and we were looking at his stitches and he had 2 little "ball" like bumps...we always thought THOSE were his testicles...sometimes they would be back in the sack, sometimes not...I'm so confused! What did they do to him in surgery??? And if those aren't his testicles...then what the heck are they? |
