| I'm Mad I had laid my pen on the end table earlier. Well I just went to change into my pj's and Cody James decides he is going to get it and start chewing on it. I heard him but couldn't get to him So I rushed and got my clothes on and came in here and saw him with my favorite pen it was green and white had fuzzy and a bobble Butterfly. he tore the butterfly right off. grr. I can't lay anything down. He's been bad about getting on the arm of the couch and stealing my gum wrappers I lay down on the end table. He is in time out for a few mins. why do they got to get into everything LOL sorry i just had to vent |

| When they are younger they go through periods where it seems like they tear up evrything. Then they get older like mine (3yrs)and they never tear up anything so hang in there

| Yes, im sure he is so sorry mom! Koda just last night grabbed my Tootsie pop. i had it paying on the end table here beside me. Well i went and tucked the kids in and came back downstairs. he was sitting on his bed looking TOO innocent. I looked at him more closely and I saw I white stick beside his mouth. The little sneak had my sucker in his mouth wrapper and all still on just holding it in his mouth, lol! Sorry didn't try to take your post just funny we went through similiar things so close! |

| Lol, they do get into everything they possibly can. Daisy found a pen and chewed it and ink went everywhere including her. She then found a tube of my sisters mascara and did the same thing with it. I can't blame her though.

| Oh yes, I feel your pain - my Kalani is a chewer big-time! A couple months ago he chewed a thick plastic mat and 2 weeks later we ended up having to do all kinds of x-rays and bloodwork because he was still occasionally vomiting and pooping it out! And then the other day I knew I dropped a button but couldn't find the darn thing anywhere - I look over at the couch and there's Kalani sitting with it sticking out of his lips and smiling at me - aaaggghhh! At least he's learned the command 'drop it' now

| ah...the joys of leaving things out to never find them again or find them torn up. I left a pair of stud earrings on the top of my bed's headboard. Now they are totally gone. Hmmm.......I think it was the Bichon. And I wasnt about to search the poop for them! LOL I learned my lesson.

| Yeah it's bad for me cause I live in a apartment. And he doesn't know thats bad lol I'll be glad when he starts getting a little older and settles down some. another thing is he wont let me hold him and love him without him biting me... now my mom he will sit there and let her just love him... it makes me jealous and sad |

| He needs confined if you're not right there to watch him..He should outgrow the chewing between 1 & 2 years old..but, he won't know why he's in time out at that age, he's really not doing anything differently than any other dog his age would do, he's exploring..if you can't watch him then he needs in an xpen or crated...then you wouldn't have the torn up walls/carpet, etc. |

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Awww as a few others have said, I am sure he's sorry He probably really DID think it was a toy with that wobbly brightly colored butterfly on the end I guess this is a lesson learned - no leaving pens and gum wrappers out anymore where Cody can reach them! Hehehe.

| WHAT???? Cody, my 4 year old, tears up EVERYTHING he can get his paws on. I have had to actually start crating him again at night cause he will literally pull the t-paper of the rolls and spead it all over the house. I don't think he will ever get over his chewing stuff. All I have to say is "What did you do?" and he will roll on his back and just give me this look. Oh he is a 15lb teapot too. He can be a brat....
