| Warming pad? Our girls sleep in their kennels. They have cozy fleece blankets, and we even cover Riley's kennel with a blankie as she gets colder than Penny. Does anyone here use any type of warming pad in their baby's kennel? I'm considering this as an option because Riley seems to be battling leather ear again this winter. I'm sure it's because she's cold. And we do put her to bed with something warm to wear. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks!! |

| Have you looked into the Snugglesafe Heating Disc? You warm it up in the microwave and put it in its cover. It stays warm for about 6-8 hours (well they say 10 but that is stretching it). It might help a little but it is hard, so you have to put blankets on top of it and I find that that really covers the heat too much. It might work for you though.

YT Addict | My Bellas little doggie bed is right in front of our heater. LOL she used to just sit there when ever the heater would kick on so I moved her bed in front of it and she will just lay there and sleep all afternoon.lol We never needed on of those heating pads. |

| (When my females whelp...) We use a regular, plug-in heating pad, tha does not have an "auto shut-off". I put the pad under the box (kennel), on one side of the box so that if your baby gets too warm they can move over to the other side. The heat does penetrate the box and the blankets inside and it provides a nice warm and cozy "corner". So, in one corner, under the box a regular heating pad from Target or Wallmart, on a medium setting and line inside the box with your blankets and do a feel test to see if it feels right to you. Adjust it as needed...enjoy and good luck. I hope it helps her...

| I bought Sweetie this pad that has some kind of "space age" stuff in it that reflects her body heat back to her - it was actually in the cat section at Pet Smart. I was too worried about burning her with a microwaveable one or having her get electrocuted with the plug in ones. This one works great and she sleeps in her crate every night, by choice. It wasn't too expensive - I'm thinking less that $20. Good luck! Cyndi |
