| Layla has a cotton coat.. we call it curly we brush it dry no problem and have tried to grow it long but didn't have the patience with all the knots.. lol.. so we keep it short.. but if you want to do the work you can keep it long |

| but do you think it will be wild, cause like you said it is curly, better yet wavey. sammy looks like a wild man with it. he gets knotted pretty fast, but his coat is thick and very very soft. |

| Layla's NEVER laid flat against her body.. i think i thought if it got long enough it would look like a straight coat.. no such luck. but honestly i LOVE the cotton coat. and if we ever get another one i want it from the same mom and dad as Layla has in hopes that we get another cotton coat. I LOVE the curls on her belly/chest and we've just come to the conclusin that her fur will never be long... which is good now that it is winter.. just brings in snow |

i did a google search on cotton coats and they said never brush it dry, always with a conditioner sprayed on first. cause of breakage. i had no idea when i bought him at 14 months that his coat was a cotton coat, the breeder had him shaved down, the only thing thats straight on him is his head fur. | |

| Bella's not full yorkie but she has a cotton coat. Hers has waves and curls in it, never lies straight. I can brush her down and make it look nice and neat, one shake and poof, it's all rag doll looking again. I use 2 different brushes and a comb on Bella, usually with spray in conditioner and brush her a few times a week. Her hair occasionally mats but not too badly. Mostly under her arms and legs.

| Ted E. Bear has a cotton coat, I have to use a comb with rotating teeth and tons of conditioner or conditioning spray on him. But, I will say that I LOVE that soft fluffy coat on him!!! He has a TOTALLY different coat than Lola, I like having the variety of coats. I can't wait to see what kind of coat their baby girl, Candy, will have!

| Infusium leave in treatment Before Koda got his puppy cut I used leave in cond on him. After his bath i would use Infusium leave in treatment conditioner. It does help, and he is a cotton coat. |

Donating YT 11K Club Member | Teddy has a cotton coat on his body. We had to cut it short cause of knots but now it's growing out again and we brush it everyday, that seems to work great. We also use a shine spray

| Tye has a cotton coat and we have tried to grow it out but he always keeps it tangled too bad and it looks like a really bad afro (he loves to roll around on the floor). We keep him in a longer version of the puppy cut to help with knots. I love the feel of his soft cottony coat. Dexter (in my avatar) had a long flowing coat that I loved too.....it was easier to manage.

| so i can use people conditioner on him ? and what kind of shine spray do i use. his coat is very dull, but thick and soft. i thought it was because of his diet or supplements, cause when i got him he was shaved down almost to his skin and i did not know what his coat really was going to look like. |

I have some of that in the house, so I'm gonna have to try it this weekend I currently use minksheen shampoo, and I love it As for brushing, I try to brush him every other day, if not, he has a ton of knots in his armpit and neck areas. He also gets tons of stuff stuck to him when we walk him. I bathe him every weekend, just to keep him fresh. Also, I've tried to comb him yet, but it's so hard to get the brush through and it pulls, so I don't do that. Instead, I wash him, spray on some detanglizer, wrap him in a towel, let him run/rub himself all over the house, and then once he's semi dry, I blow dry him to get the waves out. It also makes his hair less knotty
