| Agressive Behavior!?!? Roxy has been acting agressive recently and Im wondering if she might be going into heat? She barks at me and my boyfriend and that is something she NEVER used to do. If we are eating dinner and she is trying to jump in our lap and we tell her NO! she will sit down and start barking at us! We put her in her timeout xpen but the moment we let her back out and she does something she isnt supposed to do and we tell her NO! she will bark right at us again! Has this happened to anyone elses yorkie?? |

| Yes, that could be the case. How old is she now? We only have a boy Yorkie, so perhaps a member with a female can give you more specifics on the heat issue. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I can relate a little....My youngest Cheri does the 'talking' thing - I sort of look at it like she's being fresh and back-talking ...like when a baby learns the word "No" ? If she's (your baby) is biting or anything like that - I'd be more worried - but in my OWN personal experience - Cheri barks at me like that cause she's aurguing with me in yorkietalk. |

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | Magic became very agressive right before we had her spayed (which about when she started going into heat)...she would try and nip at you or bite you at times, and would bark at you constantly...but as soon as she was fixed she was back to normal...she is naturally very moody but that is why we love her!!

| Tucker worries me sometimes with his barking. He yells at me all of the time. This morning he was barking at me because I was in the shower. Last night he was trying to beg food and I told him NO and he sat down and barked at us. Oh well, my kids talk back too!

| My little guy does that too, and has ever since he learned to bark. When aever I tell him not to do something he barks at me, if I say he can't come up while we are eating - he barks at me. Or when I am going to bed ans he wants to play - he barks at me. I firmly tell him no again, and if he continues I spray him with the water bottle (mixed with vinegar). Sometimes he stops, but sometimes he doesn't. If he doens't he goes in his crate for a few minutes. I don't know if it's going to help him to learn, so if you have any other suggestions... feel free. |

| Ok, I feel much better now! I had a hunch it might of had something to do with her going into heat. She is about to be 7 months now and I was waiting for Gibson to turn 6 months so we can take them both in at the same time. So now that he is old enough they will get spayed and neutered very soon. She is so different right now. In the mornings when Gibson goes over to play with her she will growl and nip at him.... guess she isnt a morning dog. |
