| Lots of love, But not lots of money I was just wondering if there is a thread here to help people who don't have alot of money to spend on their babies. I love my Romeo to death but I just can't afford the fine clothes and expensive stuff other babies have. I am just so happy to have him. Didn't know if we could share how to make things , like clothes, beds, toys, stairs etc..... It took me along time to save to get my baby. And now that he is here I want him to have nice things too. I have made him some cute shirts and coat. I made him a sweatshirt out of a sweatshirt sleeve. Free from hubby.A beautiful coat from a fleece scarf from the thrift store 1$ and a bed out of baby blankets from thrift store. 2$ plus left over throw pillows that I took the stuffing out of. Just wondering if anyone would like to share ideas |

| Good ideas you have. I would like to see some pics of your homemade things if you wouldn't mind sharing. I am so uncrafty but it could be really fun trying to do them! |

| lol girl i am 20 working full time as a waitress! paying lots of bills! i actually have 2 haha so thats double! but i dont buy them expensive clothes either. If i find something super cute and cheap i will buy it but if its expensive its just clothes they can do with out. i spend about 20 dollars a month on dog food tho. i groom mine myself. so i cut out a lot of stuff.

| Target has shirts, hoodies, and toys for $2.50. They also have pj's for $4.99. I started making my own treats, because the prices got out of hand. Just one of the treats I bought for Mr. Biggs was $17 and it only lasted like 3 weeks. I also make him blankets and beds (although he prefers a pile of clothes on the floor) I also make him toys using left over fleece. When he was just a pup, I made him simple shirts out of my old ones. I just sewed them up and added decorations.

| Kathryn, I feel ya! I make a lot of stuff, but, I have to admit, I love watching the FS threads on here! These ladies sell some nice stuff for cheap! What are you wanting to learn to make? There is the Sock sweater, then if you do a search on google for Free dog clothing patterns there is a few sites that will show up. I also make my own dog treats... and they seem to love them! Best part...5 mins in the microwave!

I don't have a sewing machine or I would make little shirts and stuff too. That is the best way of showing your love is by making him home made things! It doesn't matter that it didn't cost much, they show love. I too would like to see pictures of the things you have made! ~Melody~

My husband was so cute this morning when I was fussing at him for not putting the clothes in the basket. He has been dropping the clothes 2 inches and i mean 2 INCHES!! from the basket on the floor. He said very sweetly...well, that is where Bella lays when she is watching me dress in the morning!! so cute! Kathryn, I make tons of stuff cheap for bella. fleece tie bed/blankets, dresses, harness vest/dress. I think I make more than i buy. i am researching treat recipes for her now! | |
