| Product comparison - flea/tick control I posted this under another subject, but this seems to be the busy part of the forum so I'm going to post it here, too. I am faced with the decision of which product to use. Does anyone know the difference between Frontline, Frontline Plus, Advantage, Advantix, and Revolution? I have no idea which one to buy. Thanks!

| I beleive Revolution has the heartworm medicine included...correct me if I am wrong..and frontline and advantage are similar..I THINK...I personally use FRONTLINE PLUS..and Interceptor for the heartworm pill... I apply the frontline and give the pill on the first of the month..every month..except I will not be gdoing the frontline during the winter because Maximus won't be outside....I only use the frontline because it is what my vet told me to use..but as far as that and advantage I think they are almsot the same

| I just bought the one recommended by my vet, Frontline Plus. The only time I have seen a tick or flea or anything else on my two was when I first bought Lacey, who was on Advantage and I found a tick on her one day, so I changed her to Frontline Plus as well. I'm sorry, that's all I know about these products. |

Frontline Plus takes care of fleas and ticks. So I went with that one. We have a lot of cats in the neighborhood and squirrels...so I had found a couple of ticks on Copper...Haven't seen any since I started using it. I think it is all just a matter of preference....

| Pita is on Revolution and K-9 advantix and I couldn't get rid of the fleas no matter what I did. I still have her on the Revolution of course cuz it is her heartworm preventative but for fleas I truly think the Excel Brewer's Yeast is the way to go. |

| Thanks. I think I've decided to give both Lexi and Carter Brewer's Yeast (can't hurt, right?) and continue Revolution for Carter since I'm using it currently to fight mites, fleas and heartworm. For Alexis I will use Frontline Plus since I already have her separate heartworm pills from the vet. I appreciate everyone's opinion. My, you guys are fast!!!

| Fleas, ticks & heartworm protection!! My baby has been on Frontline plus for two months and my vet just switched him to Revolution because I have a really bad mosquito problem in my yard...Revolution protects against fleas, ticks and heartworms and just makes everything easier. Frontline is good, but if you don't mind spending more for the Revolution it's worth it for the heartworm protection...I didn't know that mosquitos cause heartworms so now if my baby gets bit by a mosquito he will be protected!!
