| Writing a paper...Need help! Hey everyone!! Sorry I haven't been on in...3 weeks! School has been VERY gruling! Anyways, I'm asking for everyone's help. I'm doing a paper on the top ten yorkie myths and outrageous facts and I was wondering if everyone could help me out. So far I have come up with the fact that yorkie's don't have fur they have hair and the fact that there is NO such thing as a teacup yorkie. I'm trying to write this paper to educate my teacher. She owns a yorkie but knows NOTHING about them. She is actually trying to breed her yorkie who is 3 pounds with a male that is 7 pounds!! She also is claiming that her yorkie is a teacup, even after I explained that there is no such thing. So I decided to write my next paper on yorkies while educating her without her knowing it! Any questions would really help! Thanks!

| And what about that they're "yappy little dogs"? I thought that until I got Max and he's totally laid back unless a stranger comes into the house or yard. Then, he's the "guard dog".

| They don't get along with children or other dogs. My dog loves both children and other dogs, so that's a myth.

| "Little" dogs, like Yorkies, don't act like "Big" dogs. A "real man" wouldn't own a Yorkie. All they want to do is sit on your lap. I'm sure I'll think of more.

| How about that they're girly dogs? Although I don't know how you DISPROVE that myth unless you want us all to send you pics of our hubbies snuggling with them!!

| I'd explain why you can't breed a big yorkie to a little one. That their pig headed when it comes to training.

| I think another myth is that people who are allergic to dogs are allergic to yorkies too.... aren't they hypoallergenic because they have no undercoat and have hair close to humans???

| It may be a myth (I'm not sure) that yorkies are tiny dogs. I have a 13 lb Yorkie (some people dont believe she is a yorkie!) and one YT member (Tammy) has a 20 lb Yorkie. Maybe you can come up with comething from the FAQ section http://yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6016
