| Anyone with Yorkies and Maltese? My Yorkies are 1-1/2 yrs. old -- that's Samson, and 2 yrs., that's Delilah and I want to add a Maltese to the group, but wonder how the two breeds get along. Sam and Deli were best friends from the second Sam arrived. Deli is definitely the Alpha dog of the two. They usually like other dogs, but Sam got very aggressive when a Jack Russell male visited last week. Would appreciate hearing the experiences of those with both Yorkies and Maltese. |

| Here is a great forum that you should visit. I am planning on getting a malt in one year after I get back from my 3 week Disney vacation. My Husband was the one who asked me to wait untill then. But I am still excited at least he said yes. Here s a link to maltesetalk http://www.maltesetalk.com/

| I have a 14 month old yorkie and a 10 month old male maltese. Unlike Dior, Diesel (my maltese) is laid back and a such cuddle bug. He is content with just being next to you all day. He is not picky when it comes to eating. He loves to play, but knows when to take a time out and relax, unlike Dior . I think both breeds compliment each other with their difference in personalities. A maltese would be a great addition to your family . The only thing I do not like about the breed is their white coat. It is such a pain to take of, if u want to keep them white and in pristine condition (which he is) Good luck with whatever you decide

| I have an almost 12 yr old Maltese. The Yorkies are 22 months and 13 months old. The Maltese and them get along great.

| Thanks for the positive feedback. I'm gonna give myself an early Xmas present of a 6 mo. old male Maltese. Now I'll need a name for him that goes with Samson & Delilah. How about Goliath. He was a biblical giant and the Maltese will weigh about 3# as an adult. I love irony! |
