| Question about Yorkies wearing shoes I have trouble with shoes coming off. I am trying to get them used to wearing shoes a little at a time before the ice and snow hits. I am afraid to pull the velcro tight because I am worried about cutting off circulation to the foot. Am I worrying too much? is it safe to pull them tight?

| I have never been able to attach the velcro so tight that they will stay on! Gracie just takes a step, shakes a leg and off the boot comes. Then she goes for the next foot. It is a riot to watch, kind of like a cat shaking its feet after it gets wet. It takes her all of 30 seconds to shake off all four. I gave up long ago with the shoes for Gracie!

| Ask alaskayorkie. He's an expert in boots and shoes and cold weather and I'm sure would be happy to help.

| Some of those boots are just for show and aren't really comfortable for the dogs to wear because they are so "clunky" and can come off easily. When we found out we would be going to Alaska this winter I wrote to Alaska Yorkie to see what he recommends I buy for my girls and this is what he recommended; To wear on cold days, not wet days, http://www.dogbooties.com/products/fleecebooties.html To wear on super cold days even wet days, http://www.jbpet.com/index.php?main_...roducts_id=540 You could let the dog get use to wearing the fleece ones first, inside as well as out as long as it isn't wet out, then on cold days they can wear the boots and even super cold and icy days you can even put the fleece booties on first and the boots over that. |

| Those are great!! My gang will love them! But it looks like no boots for Natalie.... it says to measure heel to toe and the smallest size is 1 1/2" - - Nattie's only at a little over a half inch.... lol poor tiny girl!!

| My girls have tiny feet, but the 1 1/2 " is what I bought and they fit really well, and they do leave a little room so they can wear their fleece booties inside of them. |

| Roxy don't like shoes either. She fig's out a way to get each one off. It is funny to watch her doing it. I really wish she would wear them in the rain and cold because she cries when she goes out to do good girl.
