| litterbox training My pup is 4 months old now and has been using a litterbox for about a month. We initially started her on pee pads, but she would just tear them to shreds, so we decided to try the litterbox. We bought the Purina second nature dog litter: http://www.doglitter.com/GetPage.asp...8013&T=4089268 At first she was uncomfortable on the litter (they are big cylindrical shaped pieces), but she got used to it. We found the purina litterbox to be too high for her to step into, so we bought a small cat litter pan and cut out an opening for her. When she is in her pen, she has had almost 100% success. When she is out and about, she has some accidents, but we try to anticipate when she might have to pee, and we put her in the litterbox until she goes, then reward her. She has NEVER pooped outside of the box, though, which is great. |
