| Tyra wants to sleep in my bed!!!!!!! Tyra is 17 weeks and I just received her on Friday. The first few nights she slept in her bed right beside my bed. The last 2 nights she has climbed into bed with me. She has learned to use her nails to climb up my bed. I am fearful for her sleeping with me for various reasons. The main reason is that she is only 3 pounds and I am afraid that she will either fall off of my bed or that I will roll over on her. The other reason is because I was really hoping that she would sleep in her own bed. I tried telling her bad girl when she climbs into my bed (she does not like that phrase) and then putting her back in her own bed. Does anyone have any other tips that I can use to get her to sleep in her own bed? I have a stuffed dog in her bed that she can lay beside so that she will not think that she is alone. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | It is pretty hard to keep then out of your bed. I have 3 sleeping with me and they stay out of the way pretty good. If yo ureally want her to sleep in her bed you may need to put her bed inside a crate or expen/playpen. I have a ramp next to my bed so they can get up and down by themselves and not fall or jump.

| Nighttime Playmates If you want them to be in their crate, then put them there. If they have the possibility of being with you, then they will want that !! My Bogey sleeps with my husband & me. He wants to scoot between the covers & lay horizontally between us against our backs. If we move or roll over then, he will move to be stretched out against our back.

| I agree that it's hard to keep them out of your bed. But if you really want her to sleep in her own bed, then be persistent. Every time she tries to climb on your bed, pick her up and put her in her own bed. Tell her to stay. It's easier in a crate because they can't get in and out at will. But if you keep putting her back in her own bed, she'll eventually get the message.

| I think using an Xpen or crate with the bed inside would be the best solution, and once she realizes that's "her" bed.. you may be able to removed the crate or xpen and she'll just stay in her bed . |

| I use a crate for Zoe. She slept with me one nite shortly after we got her. I was worried half the nite and then when I finally fell asleep, she fell out of bed and was yelping. I was sure something was broken but thankfully she was fine. Since then, I decided I wasn't taking any chances and put her in a crate at night. |

| Thank you all for your help! I actually had a much better night last night. I told her bad girl everytime she attempts to climb in my bed. She finally got the hint and pretty much stayed in her bed all night long However, at one point around 4am i rolled over and felt my little furbaby sleeping right between my pillows. I picked her up and put her back her bed so it was a MUCH better night. |

| After being home for 2 days, Wickett made his way to our bed. I couldn't resist. He was 3 lbs and is now only 4.4 lbs and we haven't had any issues with rolling over on him. He changes positions throughout the night, but has never fallen or come close to it. And he too likes to snuggle up against our backs or by the pillows. And.....for cuteness factor......whenever he needs to go to the bathroom he'll lick one of us until we wake up. ISn't that sweet of him? |

| Maybe you need to use a crate. This way she can't get out.
