| training Hello! I am new to this site and thought some of you could give me some advice. First I'll give you some background. Samson is 14 weeks old and we have had him for 2.5 months now. We started putting old towels on the floor for him to go on and when we have him closed in a room he always will go on the towels. At night and during the day while we're at work we keep him in the laundry room. In the morning and when we get home the only place he has gone is on the towels...so that's good. While we have him out of the laundry room however he just squats wherever, whenever. Every once in while he'll sniff around and start barking and we'll take him out and sometimes he'll pee but I know he doesn't always have to go when he decides to bark and I don't really want to take him out every 5 minutes which is how often he sniffs around. When we're home we take him out after eating, playing and napping and sometime he'll go but only #1. Usually though when he gets outside all he wants to do is run around and play. Then after I bring him in he ends up doing #2, or sometimes #1, 10 minutes later. I may have left out some info. but that's about the gist of it. Any suggestions???? Thanks |

| Here is something you have to realize about a dog his age. Out of sight, out of mind. If he doesn't see the towel he isn't going to go looking for it to pee on it. And that might be the reason why he does everywhere when he is not in the laundry room. |
