I thought yorkies were sweet little things. she is proven me wrong. lol. But please help me on this one. |

| Aww, sorry you are having a hard time with your Chloe. She needs lots of chew toys while she is teething and should be corrected when she bites hard. Give lots of praise when she is good, she'll learn. Best of luck with her.

| Dont feel bad, you are not alone! Zoey is 5 months old and she is a brat. When you go in for a kiss on the nose, you never know if you are going to get a bite or a kiss. She runs from us and we can barely even hold her. I told my husband that i thought the "teething" had just turned into plain old biting. She is not a cuddler. Everyone on YT tells me to be patient that she will out grow it. They have a lot of experience on here, so I believe them. I am just trying to follow the training advice on the biting. Good luck. Im sure one day we will both have snuggly little angels!

| LOL the puppy stage is what is it is Molly bites my nose and my fingers and toes and anything else she wants I firmly tell her no bite, and put her down, she then goes off to find a toy or the next family member willing to play, it gets better when they get older

| I think it's just a stage they go through. I can't wait till Penny gets out of it.

| Our dog is the same way. He chews on our fingers and toes. I have heard it is just a stage and I hope everyone is right because the whole reason I got a yorkie was because i wanted one who would love and cuddle. |

| Don't worry about it, its a normal puppy thing. Just make sure she has lots of chew toys. Something you could try is wetting a cloth, tieing it in a knot and freezing it. Once its frozen give it to her, chewing on it really helps to sooth their sore little gums. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | It's just a stage. WHen Cali was that age she turned into cujo! She would lunge at me and bite me and it hurt. no matter how I tried to discourage it she kept it up for a few months. Then she just turned into the sweetest little girl. SHe would never bite me now just kisses. It will get better!!

Yorkie Talker | Teething and Temper My Lexi is the same way. She also has temper tantrums when she doesn't like what you are doing to her. I mean TEMPER.... growling, biting like you would not believe! She looks just like the BAD Gremlins (from the movie Gremlins) And she is only 3 months old!!! Does anybody else have the temper problem? I hold her still gently, saying NO, until she stops and then she will start up again. I repeat and finally she will stop. However, this is not permanent as she keeps on doing this. She can also be very loving....mostly when she is tired. |

| my adorable 2 faced puppy haha my little einstein is exactly the same. i'm going to be living by myself in apartment soon so i decided that i want a puppy to keep me company. sometimes i try to be firm with him for biting and growling at me but that just makes him even more angry! he's only a sweetheart when i take him for a drive or when he's sleeping lol. does anyone know when their dog outgrew this phase? |

my yorkie is 8 mos old and also very loving and attached to me especially. But he has snapped and growled viciously at myself and my hubby..It seems he does this when he's startled from a nap, or of course coming even near where he's hidden his treats..ie. behind a cushion or on our bed..which we try and stop him..tonight he acted as tho he was going to attack me cuz i woke him up from a dream he was whining in...i am at a loss for solutions..i could not hit him even with a rolled up newspaper..like others have told me..he is very extra aggressive if i get aggressive back to him when he does this..he doesn't back down... i can't hold him, i get frightened..it's always such a violent response.. can anyone else give me some advice..thanks

They do outgrow all of this stuff. At about 7 months or so my Tink turned into a completely different dog! Very sweet and wonderful.
