| Some questions Hello! Could somebody tell me how can I make my little "Thasha" stop doing its needs in house? It has just 3 months. Also it barks too much. When I take her out it is very friendly with unknown person. Please tell me what steps do I have to take in order to stop it doing these kind of things. Thank you! |

| Hello! To prevent your dog from going potty in the house, I'd suggest you crate train her or keep her in a pen. Are you using peepads or taking her outside? It's all about scheduling and consistency. Lemme know what you are doing so I have more of an idea of how you're trying to housebreak her, and maybe I (or anyone else) can give you more suggestions. As for barking too much, you need to ignore her and not go to her when she does that or else she'll think barking is what will make you come to her. this is tough and can get annoying, but you just gotta be strong and consistent.

| It will take at least 3 months probably longer for her to know when she needs to go, and even longer for her to learn to let you know. For now, you need to take her out VERY often, like every 30 mins, and make sure she goes each time. Slowly increase the time to about an hour. You may feed her on a schedule and then go outside 5-15 minutes after she eats and wait for her to go. She will go if you wait long enough. If you cannot watch her, you need to put her in a crate. It is OK to put her in the crate for 30 mins, take her outside and if she goes, let her play for 30 mins then BACK in the crate 30 mins then outside again. Good luck!

| I agree with the above posts. Crate training is great. Yes, a 3 month old has to go quite often... it's lots of work till they get the idea but it is worth it in the end!!! Puppies do tend to bark when they play a lot - what does yours bark at? As for being friendly with strangers - I think that is a good thing - you just have to always keep an eye on her so someone doesn't walk away with her. |
