| am I doing this right? So I am outside training and using a crate. She can make it throught the night about 4-6 hours, just depends. Well everytime I take her out which is right when she gets up, about 5-10 mins after eating a drinking, and then every 1-2 hours throught the day. other than eating and playing for a while after each outing she is in her crate. well I am very frustrated because everytime I take her out she just wants to play and eat grass, or chew on her leash. I get so mad because she can't focus on bathroom so then I just bring her in and crate her til the next trip. Is this the right thing to do? I feel bad for crating her so much but we do have play time several times a day. What do you all think or do??? by the way she is 12 weeks tomorrow, and I've only had her for 6 days! |

| awww, she's a new baby ... she needs more time to used to everything .... going 4-6 hours is pretty good ... give her more time ... and use the piddle pads ... good luck!

| I put piddle pads down but she wont use them and she just tears them up, she thinks they are a toy. Especially since the plastic on the back makes noise when she plays with it. I'm still hopeful, even though it's hard to read about people possible getting rid of their dog because of housetraining issues. |

Missing Yoshi Everyday! Donating Member | well you take her out to where she is suppose to potty...give a her a simple command like go potty! and if she do praise her ... she will catch on ... and if she doesn't go ... take her back in and crate her again ... then 5-10 minutes later repeat... seems like you have it down...it takes time, patiences and consistency to fully housebreak them.
