| Bad Girl Katy I thought we were done with training. We have found something new to train on. It is spring and we have lots of birds with nests in our yard. The first babies have left the nest. We caught Katy trying to kill one of the babies. If any of these babies are going to survive, Katy has to leave them alone. I think after yesterday she may have it. but the test will be what she does when we are not there. |

It's a Yorkie Thing Donating Member | Sounds like Katy found some new playmates. Hopefully they will be flying soon. Do you leave her out when your gone? I'm afraid to leave my guy out.

| Yes, Katy has a doggie door and can come and go as she pleases. My DH put a 2" wide by 6"deep concrete base under our 6 1/2 fence. We have a large covered porch and a 20 x 40 pergola covered in vines. So we wind up with a lot of birds. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | It's survival of the fittest....My girls each have caught a baby bird at seperate times..not to kill I don't think but to play with .....I was right out there with them when both homicides took place Chanel caught hers in mid air and Cheri nailed one hopping on the ground....I tried to save them but sadly they didn't make it...I think they died of fright. Now when I see nests I keep a good eye on my little hunters cause they are FAST and it's just instinct .... |
