| Why is it soooo hard?? What's everyone's potty training style?? I don't take Coco out because she's too young to be on the grass. So I use puppy pads, but when she wants to poo, she will squat somewhere else. I just have to keep my eye on her because if I see her arch her back I will quickly carry her to the pad, so she can go poo. She doesn't get the idea though. Everytime she has to go number 2 she squats in the corner somewhere and I have to keep carrying her to her puppy pad, 2 feet away. She will pee on the pad, but sometimes we still have pee pee accidents. I know she's only 12 weeks but HELP! I need some advice on how to get her to remember what the puppy pad is for. She has really good days where she will go on it all day. Then the next day she won't even remember it's there. Any advice will be appreciated. |

| What do you mean she is too young to go on the grass?

| I think with time she will get it. It took Baby about 9 months before she would poop on her pad, for some reason pee seemed to go on the pad but poo belonged everywhere else. Good luck, don't get depressed..she's just a baby and a smartie to allready know to pee on the pad. 1 down and 1 to go! |

| Well when I spoke with the vet he said I can't put her on the grass or outside until she gets all her shots and is somewhat older. I talked to some of the forum members and they also told me to keep her away from grass and ground, because of her age, and not having all of her shots done yet. She's only 12 weeks. What do you think?

| I think what your vet means it to not put her down or on grass at unknown area. The reason why is because he is afraid there is a chance a sick dog or one with Parvo has walked and containated the area and your puppy isn't vaccinated for it yet. It should be alright in your yard provided it is enclosed and no strange dogs has walked on it. Petstore and public parks is definitely a "no-no". |

| Well the problem for me now is that I live in an apartment with no grass..haha..it's very city like with lots of streets and such. So I can't take her out. But I'm moving to another place so Coco can have a doggie park on our housing premises. Of course she won't go until she's older but I want her to have fun when she's old enough to play around outside. As for potty training, I might even try the spray or drops that the dogs are attracted to. I don't know if I will have any luck but lets hope so.

| My Stomper would go pee on the pads but poop on the floor! I've heard they don't like doing them both in the same spot! Keep trying...eventually Stomper got it down right. However, I suggest putting the pad near the backyard door. Then, once she is good on the pad, start bringing her outside to go instead. She will get it. Stomper is 6 months old and is now potty trained. The doggy door has made our lives SO much easier. I recommend it to those that have larger yorkies. My guy is 10 pounds and loves the freedom. Also, remember to reward when you catch your baby going in the right place. I STILL reward Stomper when I see him "doing his business" outside. I'll probably do that until he is 1 years old! Why not?!!!
