| Apparently, my picky puppy actually LIKES bitter apple....what else can I use? Yea, so Percy has this one chair in the house that he loves to chew on. I am counting my blessings that it is only one chair and not all of them. But, it is really getting to be out of hand. I have tried correcting him, and giving him something that he is allowed to chew on, but he just goes right back to the chair. I am still going to work on that, but sometimes, I have to leave the room, so I can't always catch him. I tried spraying bitter apple on it. But, my puppy, who will not touch yogurt, most cheese, apples, bananas, most treats, and just about any other food item, loves bitter apple. Are there any other spray type options that I can use and might also work? I was thinking of making a spray with hot sauce or something (kinda like the stuff my mom used when I used to bite my nails) But, with my luck he will like that too and end up with an upset tummy. Also, I don't know if that is even safe.

| I have used cayenne pepper to deter them. I usually will spray a little water and then shake some cayenne on whatever I don't want them to chew. They leave it alone. Light colour fabrics may stain though not sure. You would have to try a spot where you can't see it. |

| Wow! I had *never* heard this before. Coolest trick ever. It worked too! Although, I *really* wish I had had a camera to capture the look on Percys face when he tried to chew on the chair. Honestly, I didn't know if I should have laughed or felt bad for him. The look...and then he raaaannnnn for his water. Hasn't tried to chew the chair again though. Thx!

| How about white vinegar? I used it to clean Siu Pao's pee odour but he hates the smell. If I put white vinegar on anything, he doesn't chew them.

| my puppy loves deodorant Toto is obsessed with licking armpits with deodorant on them. I am glad to hear that the solution worked, but just to warn anyone else who tries it, you might have a deodorant lover on your hands! Toto hates bitter apple though, so hopefully it's either one or the other! |

| Deodorant !! My Bogey chewed on corners of baseboard until I got the right guard out. Never touched it again!! Now he's one year old & past the chewing stage. I just wiped it all off & he could care less about it anymore.

| White vinegar worked wonders for my dogs. Just the smell sends them running in the other direction. And if they do try and lick/bite it, they will never go back.
