| Belly bands ~ are they for house training? Percy is doing much better with his house training, but is still marking a little. I was wondering if belly band were used in house training, or are they more for keeping the boys off the girls? If they are used to control marking and indoor peeing, do they help? Or does it just give them a different place to go? Kinda like in a diaper?

| I use belly bands to keep my boys from marking in my house. They're not super bad, but the belly bands help lots. I always wash them with baby wipes when I change the pad. |

| We use them somtimes but Teddy ALWAYS pees in them and then he is stinky even after washing him. We try not to use them if we can get away with it but when he is having a bad day and we are just too busy to stay on top of him every minute it does make everyone happy as he has his freedom and we don't have to worry. | You can see one on my Teddy in my avatar. It is the thing you see wrapped around his belly. It goes around his man parts to keep him from marking or having accidents. Basically a boy diaper. They are also used to keep your female safe from your male during her heat. They really are great if you have a boy who just will not potty train or insists on marking. Better to wrap him up than lose your patients with him or rehome him. Teddy really doesn't have that many accidents anymore so we really only use them if we are busy or if he is having a bad day. I say bad day but really what happens is if I find an accident I tell him no and put the belly band on for the rest of the day. I think this is working because his accidents are gettting further and further apart. Kim
