It's best to go as long as you can in between baths as bathing too frequently strips their skin of natural oils. If you can, 2 weeks or more is a good time in between baths. I see alot of people saying they give theirs a bath once a week, but that seems too frequent to me. Whatever suits YOUR yorkie will be best.

I bathe Hannah every 4-5 days. If I wait any longer than that she smells bad and I don't want a smelly dog in my house.... . She has not had any skin issues with this routine so far. She plays outside in my back yard a lot and gets dirty and "dog smelly" so that is why she needs to be bathed more, if your dog stays in more then he may not need a bath that often.

baths Once daily is too much, once per week is not..use a qaulity shampoo and conditioner..Yorkie hair is much like human...some humans can not wash their hair daily, but closer to a week works fine.

It's all about the shampoo, I was bathing my new baby once a week with Hartz shampoo I got from the grocery store in a pinch because within a week of having him home he was not able to pee past his belly, he NEEDED a bath!!! He was developing dry skin. Since we've gotten good vet recommended shampoo and he just loves his bath. Quality shampoo and watch those ears and eyes!
