| Can anyone recommend a good training book? I'd like to find a good book or website that gives detailed training info. I have gotten lots of info here, but I'm not sure what I am doing and would like to have it layed out for me step by step. I'm looking for everything from walking to crate training.

| I have read several. Although it isn't really a training book, I loved Cesar's Way, by Ceasar Milan. There has been much talk about Cesar, and I don't think that most of his methods are relevant to yorkies -- from what I understand he generally deals with large dogs with aggression issues, but the book helps you to understand how and why a dog thinks as he does. Geez, I hope this doesn't turn into another Cesar debate. Come one girls and guys, let's recommend some good training books. |

| My absolute favorite website about dog training is: http://www.clickersolutions.com/arti....htm#behaviors Other good sites for basic training are: http://www.clickerlessons.com/ http://www.dragonflyllama.com/%20DOG...evelsBook.html http://www.shirleychong.com/keepers/index.html http://www.clickertraining.com/skills_for_every_day There are others that are good for teaching "tricks" if you want those.
