| Soon he'll be dancing on his hind legs and doing all sorts of tricks for you. My Pochi knows if I say "Let's go bye bye" he'll go look for his carrier and run and jump into it waiting for me.

| hehe I bet he'd be easy to train to dance... Easy way to get them to start is to show him his fav treat and put it a little bit above his head so that he has to stand up to get it. Praise him lots and do that every time you give him his treat each time going a little higher and eventually have him move forward. Then you can start doing it without giving him treats just use the same hand gestures of holding your hand above his head like you are giving him a treat next thing you know he's dancing around to get his treat.

| Can you explain what you did to teach him sit? That's pretty quick for dogs to learn a trick, isn't it? |

| My puppy Zack just turned 12 weeks ago. I just trained him to sit just yesteday! He loves Pup-peroni treats and after spending about 30 minutes training him to sit...he got it down. Now he sits on command without treats! I got his attention by showing him the treat, then I gave him the command to sit while pushing his butt down on the floor. I wouldn't give him a treat until he sat down without my assistance. He finally got it after about 10 times. Now he sits every single time when I tell him. Now if I can train him to put all his toys back in his toy box! Yorkies are SMART! http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...rl/ZackNew.jpg |

| The way they taught the technique was to basically hold 2 fingers together over his head and say sit and give him a reward for each time he did it. Now he does it with no reward and just on voice command. Not to brag sometimes I think he's too smart for his own good Michael |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Yah, Jerry Trace knows sit too and they are so dang cute when they do it. And yeah, he caught on to the treat deal really quick. Sometimes now he'll come running to me, immediately sit, and cock his head as if to tell me "look, I'm sitting, where's my treat?" I've tried telling him he has to wait for me to tell him to sit for treats |

| sit or dart My little Coco fetches..hehe..but when I say sit, even when I have a treat visibly ready for her, she darts off somewhere else..haha...I don't know if she's associating the word sit with something else. I've even tried to press lightly on her bottom as I say sit so she knows what it means. But when I try to tell her without help, she runs in the opposite direction...any ideas on why? |

| Yeah congratulations, isn't it a great feeling of accomplishment when they learn how to do something good.
