| Can anyone tell me how to teach the "bang" trick? We haven't mastered stay yet but we've gotten sit, down, paw, & rollover!! I would like to teach him the trick where you say "bang" & he rolls to his side like he's been shot. I know, some people think this trick is horrible, but I think it is cute. I had a book that taught me how to teach the others, but I have no idea how to teach this one. Any ideas?? |

| My Husband would use the gun hand signal and roll Chachi on his side then tell him good boy and give him a treat. After doing this a couple of times Chachi would roll on his side on his own.

| Starsky does this. I would just put him in a down position and as I push him over on his side I would say "bang" and give him a treat. Soon he would do it himself. Good luck to you

| You'll have to let me know if you are able to teach him this! My boyfriend really wants to teach this to Ferdinand also.

| I taught Penny this one as soon as we had roll over. I would hold a treat, say bang, point my finger and when she would get half-way through the roll I would stop her and tell her to stay. After just a few times she got it. |

| I taught Coco by asking her to go "down", then I would say "bang" and gently roll her to her side and keep my hand on her, then praise the heck out of her. Within literally 5 minutes, she was doing it by herself, and I incorporated the hand gesture in. Now I don't even have to say anything, I just point my finger at her and she's down. You can see Coco's bang trick at www.dropshots.com/cocosmom It's the one labeled August 28

| We never mastered that one. It's the one I wish she'd do. But once she learned to roll over, she'll never stop halfway.
