| Treats??? Does anyone know of any good treats for Yorkies?? I hear Yorkies aren’t that big on treats. My pup Irie hasn’t been that interested in treats. I want her to like treats more to make potty training a little easier. Right now I have those tiny greenies and I have to try a few times to get her to eat it. Any ideas?

| I give mine Nutro treats and cut them into small pieces..They go crazy over them. There are alot of treats out there I guess its just trying them and sticking to the ones he likes. He is probably too young and doesn't know yet because I know when I first brought mine home they didn't care for treats...different story now..lol Please be careful when giving your baby a greenie..just make sure he is under your supervision when chewing on it. |

| We went to PetCo and they told us to give her these tiny greenie chips... Are they not good for them?? Can they Choke?? I only got them b/c the pet store suggested them and said that almost all pups/dogs love them! I just wanted to get something she'd like to reward her with. I will try the Nutro treats! Thanks for your help

| Ferdinand LOVES treats! We give him Natural Choice (I think it's Petsmart's brand... so you can get them at Petsmart). They come in a plastic tube container with a blue lid. They're tiny steaks - super cute! And they're soft so they're good for training and you can break them up.

| And yes, Greenies are bad for your dog. Here's a link http://www.snopes.com/critters/crusader/greenies.asp or google "greenies bad for dogs"

| It has been my experience that Yorkies love treats. At least the 3 I have had first hand experience with have liked them. I don't know if I could ever train Little Bit without treats. |

| Well maybe my little gal is super smart and knows these greenies are bad for her and that is why she has no interest. I’m a proud parent!..lol I will try something else and see if she likes it. I definitely need something she loves for this potty training! Thanks for your help.

| Cheerios are great treats for pad training !! I used honey nut cheerios & Bogey got the hang of it quick. Every time he made a drop on a pad he got a cheerio. I almost thought he would pretend to go to get one. I also taught him to sit then. He had to sit before he could get one. It was taught within two days !!

| Yep, Venus and Adonis both like Cheerios too! They get a little bit every morning! Never thought of using it for a treat. When I first started training Venus, someone suggested me give her some of her kibble for a treat. I thought for sure that wouldn't work, but it really did! She potties for pieces of her own food! Does that mean I have a dumb dog Since I also have a 5 year old yorkie, sometimes I will give her his food as a treat for pottying, and so my 5 year old won't feel left out, he will get a piece of her food! |

| Good News! I went to PetCo last night and got the Natural Choice brand of treats and I also grabbed the Science Diet training treats, they looked yummy. Both are working well. Irie loves them! Thanks for your help. I see that a lot of people that feed their pups people food??? I am new at this and I am not sure what is OK for them to have and what isn’t. I’ve seen chicken soup, rice, cheerios… How do you know?

| Lexie LOVES Canine Carry Outs- the original ones!!! She gets excited whenever I pick up the bag. This is wonderful when I go to work in the morning because she jumps into her bed and waits for her treat in the morning!! It is too funny!
