| Potty disaster My puppy is now wearing the puppy diaper things and they work great for the peeing he loves to pee outside now but he refuses to poop. We will catch him getting ready to poop and say no no and put his leash on and take him outside where we tell him to go potty, but he just wants to eat the bark. He has done this three times and every time we take him out he wont go. We know he has to he has attempted to go inside three times now in the past hour. We have just switched him for the potty box with pee pads beucase he was not having that and now my carpet stinks so we desided to take him outside. He really enjoys it we think but he wants nothing to to with going "bad potty" out there. Help!! |

| How long are you keep him out there to attempt to poo again? Most dogs will need some stimulation to go. So even though he was trying and you interupted him to take him outside, it's like starting all over again. Most dogs like to walk it off. In other words they need a long walk around before they will go poo. Also, the next time he goes in the house, pick it up and throw it outside where you want him to go. Dogs also can stimulate their bowels after they smell and sniff the poo. What is his feeding schedule? Instead of free feeding, limiting the times he eats can get his poo on schedule too., so you can time when to take him out for a long walk. He may need 2 long walks a day. Millie always has 2 poos a day one in the a.m before I go to work and one in the p.m. after we get home from work. |
