| Crate trained Long story .. familiar to many? Jack is about 18 mos. Thought we had won the battle (95% of the time). Nights spent in crate (undisturbed)...successful trips outside first thing in morning .. and every few hours afterwards .. Almost accident free. Then we took a week's vacation..couldn't use crate..too large for small car. Stayed at a great place that accepted pets, so we brought favorite toys, bed, etc. Right! You guessed it..would only sleep on bed with us, so we used "belly-pad" (correct name?)..with good results when we went out as soon as we got up...otherwise pad was wet. Now we are home. Right, again! Will only sleep on bed with us...no more crate, besides its too big for bedroom. Still using pad.. same routine. Want to stop that practice ..but, how? Any thoughts?? Thanks for listening. |
