| come and drop it Lately, Homie does not come unless we have food or he feels like (he's almost 11 months). And forget drop it if he gets a hold of tissue paper. Any training advice for come and drop it? |

| Keep working on it. It's OK to give a huge food reward every single time for come, since that is really the most important command. The trick is that he shouldn't need to SEE the food to come. You should start working on it when you don't have food, then when he does come go and GET a really good treat! Drop is hard. Work on giving a trade. Again you don't have to have it in your hand. When I tell Loki to drop something we go straight to the kitchen for some cheese or whatever. That way it's a reward, not a bribe.
