| Missing the pee pad Gracie is probably 60% right on with hitting the pee pad for both #1 and #2. This is only when she is confined to her pen of course. However, she does occasionally miss. I really think she just gets too close to the edge. For now, I have the floor of her ex-pen covered about 2/3 of the way with pee pads. She still misses now and then. How do I start narrowing the square footage in which she does her business? How do I get her not to miss the pee pad? I bought some rapid start pee pads and some house training spray in hopes of getting her to go in a smaller area. She so loves the spray that she sleeps on the pee pad! Any help would be much appreciated.

| Personally, I would keep the entire floor of her pen covered with pads. That way, she gets used to the feel of the pads under her feet when she eliminates. With time, she will then only want to "go" on what she's used to (called "substrate preference"). Later, you can very gradually decrease the area that's covered with the pads until you're evenually down to one. Also, I'd ditch the spray! It's obviously not doing what you want it to!

| I have one in a wee pad holder and one outside of the holder. Gracie thinks the wee pad holder is a bed. She likes to sleep and play with her toys there. Yesterday I had her outside of her pen playing. Twice, she ran in there and went on the pee pad, once in the holder and once on the other one. Good girl!

Chloe missed a lot when she was younger and if I was present to watch,I could see she would start going and as she walked away some would fall off. As far as the urine, I watched her several sides walk in circles on the pad, then when she squatted she did get too close to the edge. She eventually got it perfect. She is one now. Now Sissy does the same thing but I already know she is trying and young and she will aim correctly in time. (she is 4 months old now) I put my pee pad in the family room on top of a plastic so I can wash up the area with cleaner. In their pens I do use a holder is Sissy's but not in Chloe's. (Sissy will still shred hers, Chloe will not any longer. In my opinion if you did cover the whole pen, how would she learn where to go? A friend of mine uses those plastic things you put under a desk chair under the pee pad for her baby. In my livingroom I use an old piece of naugahyde (used to upholster chairs) in the pen to protect the wood floors in there and put her bed in one corner and her pad in the opposite. The problem I still have with Sissy is the soft feel of the pad and the soft pad of a carpet seems to confuse her
